CREATING THE BUZZ NOW!

Not the best flyer made but I needed something to pass out this evening.

April 26th at the Velvet Lounge we are playing with the Hall Monitors (THE best band in DC, hands down) and some band from somewhere else The Sundresses. We play first come early STAY late.

This could very well be our last show ever..... Peter is moving to Beijing and no drummers are knowcking on our door. It is bound to be a great show, most Bolo shows are!!

Lunch, JUST NOW!

i spied a seat, after collecting my yummy indian fare from my favorite fast food india joint, in my usual spot (against the windows on the booth/bench seating). At the table next to mine was one of the local street people who you can ususally find at the corner of 11th and NY ave bouncing from person to person and car to car asking for change. Usually with some desperate story about just getting out of a hospital or need for food.

This plump, jovial individual who emmits an air of euphoric disturbance was busy chomping away at her chosen meal of the day; bar b que, macaroni and cabbage....

Each bite was interspersed with mumblings about some "house that contained a baby" and how HANDSOME I was. To all of which I smiled and nodded as I dove into my lamb thali AND PALAK PANEER.

As the tables around us started to fill and the noise of our section started to rise, the mumblings turned into screams and yelps that were acompanied by over exagerated facial expressions towards no one in particular.

Now, none of this behaviour bothers me, for I am known to act weird and abrasive at times for no particular reason. But I could clearly sense our neighbors eating were getting anxious for this woman to finish eating an leave.

When the previously mentioned street person got up to leave, a waft of air stirred up by her movement hit my olfactory organs. At first I was unable to discern what the smell was. As she got up to go she revealed that the back of her dress was covered in feces (or what I assumed was feces) it was then that brain made the connection.

This is when I started to think of friends and colleagues who had to deal with mental illness in some form or another. The pain and frustration of daily battles between reality and constructs of an ill brain, is something I don't think i would have the strength for. How could I cope? How could I go on ? If this was something I had to live with day in day out? And to think I cursed to myself eveytime she came to me begging for change ( I always thought she was a crackhead looking for her next hit).

The gentleman sitting two tables away made eye contact with me as if to say "FUCKING LOONIES!!!". My reply, of contemptuous stoicism put him in place.

at which point I got up and moved to another table to get away from the smell of shit.

So, I'm an asshole!!!

So, I harp on subjects that are not as important or relevant to conversations in play.
So, I don't say hello to the demolition guy who woke me from my beauty sleep with the crash boom blam of his backhoe type thingy.
So, I give the dump truck driver, who is parked on a street that doesn't allow trucks with a minimum capacity of 1 and a quarter ton, the stink eye.
So, I bitch and complain without giving real solutions.
So, I shit on people as much as possible. For no reason what so ever.
So, I'm a hypocrite and can't keep my stories straight.
So, I trip the light fantastic.
So, I find guilty pleasure from listening to American Idol in my sleep.
So, I watch you as you walk up my block after you just bought crack from the guy on the corner.
So, I watch you stumble home from a night of HEAVY DRINKING at the local bar/cafe and question (to myself) whether or not you belong in the front yard of the house you are entering. PS I am not your buddy.

Its not like you are any better than I. At least I'm attempting to find my own inner peace,
reality tv show, ultimate cheeseburger.

The band, the romp and cults!

SO the band played Friday night in front of a room full of people. Over 90 infact....WE did alright, next were with the Hall Monitors, probably the best band in town. Mark your calenders April 28TH or 26th, I can't remember....

Felt WOnderful. Maybe indulged on a few too many beers. Night started at Polly's with Nif, a Smithwick (3 to be exact) and a meh burger.........We made our way to the Velvet, I was nervous as heck. Left Jenn as I paced and attempted to buy a fake mustache off a lesbian in search of some tail! She said the fake stache gave her the pull she needed to get some nookie. The lesbian didn't even stay for our set, well yeah!!! the thought of getting some pussy would do that to me as well!

Spent the day working the door for ROck and Romp, collecting $5 from each adult. Reminded me of my days at Peasants. Cept lOt less drunks. Plenty of stumbling, slurred speech and crying, just not done by the drunks.... Lemon Face, Middle Distance Runner and SOft Complex were the bands that played. Soft COmplex sounded right up my alley, I need to see them again soon.

CULTS!!!
even worse, Dollar Cult$!!!

gold domes are but lies forthe weak and easily bought!
just cause they can tell a great story doesn't....oh nevermind!!

Big Brother IS Listening

This is what domestic spying looks like. Apparently, the man (read FBI) has placed an unspecified number of sensors (read MICROPHONES) to listen for gun shots in WARD 7. In partnership with the MPD (read THE DC MAN) the FBI started this pilot program to help locate and identify crimes with shots fired. These sensors are so good that they are able to determine within a few feet where the gun shots were fired. The program is currently only in WARD 7 but there are plans for it to spread to WARD 5 and 6 with an eventual city wide deployment.

The program, though a little invasive, has successfully been used to apprehend real cold blooded killers, like Lankward Harrington, who murdered a lanscaper who was shot 4 times while high on PCP.

This is a visualization of the four gunshots Lankward Harrington fired into Jose Villatoro. Chilling....
Assholes like Lankward need to be shot or at least disemboweled while fully sober!!!!

Pics of my HOOD!

Welcome to my hood! Green arrows UP is always positive. Don't mind the gang war or stray bullets wizzing by your head.

This is the Carnegie Library in Mount Vernon Square, it is now sits empty and is used in-frequently for parties. Homeless and street people sleep out back on top of the air conditioning fans.

This is AV, the italian restaurant, a mere block from my hizzy. It's awesome. The owner made millions by selling so that a greedy developer can build overpriced condos, and limited commercial space. BTW, did I mention my neighborhood is a historic district??????

Awesome!!!!

Jesus Fricking Christ on a Crutch

Whats with the idiots in this city?

Fenty what are you gonna do? I want to know what the city has planned and how you are gonna keep me and my loved ones safe.....

This shit is ridiculous..

Random Pics!

Music, Band, Fingering, Plucking, Bolophonics!!!!

IT'S TOUGH....

Like a second marriage or mistress.

The good news, the band that I left and then rejoined will be playing March 2nd at the Velvet Lounge. Not the ideal location, its so freaking dirty!!!!

So on my hiatus from the band, the remaining members recorded enough material to release an EP. Since I did not participate in the recording I have resigned to just being the bass player. Which is fine with me, the first time around I got tired giving my opinion and being told in a passive aggressive way that my idea of what makes good music was wrong. HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The bass player is the loneliest of all band members, not as cool or as big of a glory hound as the front man or inclined as the drummer. We bass players just pluck and finger rhythmically. Pluck and finger, finger and pluck. Oh life is difficult!!!!

Maybe its this loneliness that leads to the bass player acting out!!!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!????????

So anyway, we will be playing with J Forte and his secret pop band
YIPPPPPPPPEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway come out March 2nd to see the band that i am playing with again .

Myt!

Stardate 254X698-83ab-29-Z

This city's too hot! I am gonna go out, to the mountaintop.
-- Lee 'Scratch' Perry

Thank goodness for Connecticut, California, Nevada and Bermuda! We need a break from the fuckin' violence. We gotta get our heads together, see family and rest.

Bought a new camera. Not sure of all the bells and whistles. Looking for ease of use and certain uptodateness that our 'old' kodak could no longer provide.

Hopefully I can successfully upload the photos without the need of silly Canon software. Simplicity.

Talk about 21st century... I uploaded a full length movie onto the Nif's DELLPOD.

Sweet, the future!!

Taken from one of the message boards I frequent:

your nutbar has been made, keep him away, tell him to stop calling friends, family, etcetera.

funny how with al your background checks, drug tests, personality profiles, that you people seem to always hire nutjobs, psychopaths and traitors. that's just the kind of folks your line of work attracts.

you have hacked the accounts from the pentagon and found nothing. run "global universal networkplace" and see who and what you are dealing with.

he told me he was working aarp and told others he was working for you and he told another he was working with the mossad.

wouldn't be surpirsed if he's got some opus dei too.

take a few deep breaths, oxygenate yourselves, and see if you can figure out that you are working at a disadvantage. P.Y.H.O.O.Y.A.

anyway, everyone who has been investigated by your issclown knows about it and you.
