Dream - January 30, 2014

Written shortly after waking, "we were at a big house by a large lake or ocean. A lot of kids and parents came over to the house for possibly a party or class. Eventually Tom Cruise came by with his father for the class as well. Tom Cruise had the face of a 50 year old Tom Cruise but was the size of 5th grader. We were shocked to find out that Tom Cruise had been a child all this time. There was a band there as well, eventually the band was joined by a reluctant brass section of twin boys playing trombone like instruments made of pvc tubes and computer parts. I was watching myself play drums in this band. I still was unsure why these people came over to the house, but eventually my dad started teaching the kids how to play darts under a banyan tree (the tree was also part of the house)."

low

Last night just north of Houston
Broadway so many people
Through your third story window
I see my favorite record store
Where is the laughter?
Where is the laughter?
Smiling, tasting the irony
Broadway so many people
Outside just round the corner
Letter and Bob Marley t-shirts
Where is the laughter?
Where is the laughter?
Baby, 10000 years ago
Broadway so many people
Sleeping down at the factory
Waiting and singing so softly
Where is the laughter?
Where is the laughter?
The garden of Eden
The voices of children
Where is the laughter?

mouse

The property has mice, it's just a fact. Luckily we have not been successful in the last few months in catching a mouse within our house. No sign of a mouse. This is a good thing. However the shed/garage is another story. Within 18 hours of layingmu last trap, a large field mouse was caught. The snap trap was so violent, I found the activated trap, with dead mouse ensnared, almost a foot away from the trap's original placement.
Similarly, my days are a bit repetitive. Plans are made for major projects to be done, yet I keep becoming snared in traps I make for myself, I'm violently thrown from my daily goals.

Resolutions

2020 - no booze. I celebrated in November when PA called the race for Biden. But was dry for 364 days.

2021 - cook or bake at least one new recipe a week or slap a facsist.
