The Morning After 460 Ridge St NW

Bricks lay strewn across the side walk, the innards of the burned out shell visible for all to see. Word on the street, this abandoned building is owned by the city. Buildings left to rot, while my neighbor's and landlord's property tax go up, all the while millions of tax dollars are stolen by those we trust in the DC governement.

Ridge Street House Collapses 11:10 PM 11/26/07

Just as we settled down to watch the 11:00 PM News a commotion of sirens and lights blazed past the house. Upon further inspection and a short walk I found that a house or the shell of some long ago abandoned house collapsed. 462 or 464 Ridge's east wall collapsed onto the sidewalk and adjoining property. Below are photos taken moments ago.










The last BLURRY photo is that of a search and rescue K9 and was my first glimpse of the disaster scene, the sight of the dog got my spidey senses working overtime. No word on whether or not anybody was pulled from the rubble. Keep looking back for updates.
