I went to this show last night not thinking I knew any songs by them, it turns out I knew one. The song from the honda civic commercial.


random thoughts and observations from last night:
UP with people!!
horrible mix
why are the lead instruments pre-recorded?
was that a mini bubble skirt?
why are there two guitars being played onstage, but I can't hear either?
where are the horns coming from?
I see a keyboard being played, but the rhythm the player is playing is different than the sound emanating from the PA.
if you are going to pretend to play the harmonica, it would be good if the audience could hear it.
pre-recorded guitar and bass feedback between songs is key to a great show.
Why was the last song played the only song which sounded like it was played live?

I was underwhelmed by their "overwhelming" performance.....

A little late as always

As usual I am late to game!!

I recently picked up the Peter Bjorn and John album Writer's Block. THough I'm not "into" all the songs off the album, they are a smashing groop. Ideal tracks for listening: Objects Of My Affection, Up Against the Wall and off course the crowd favorite Young Folks.

In other news I am job searching, but massive soul searching is needed before this can happen. Ever been in a rut and you are unsure of how to exit said rut? Possibly I am taking the rut stuckness out on the wife, which is unwarranted and unfair on my behalf. I need a big change!!! My pain should not be her pain!
Though I can't blame all my work issues on my employer, I just can't stand the fact that I am ignored on almost a daily basis.

I just returned from the all purpose drug store that also sells things other than drugs (CVS), why did I go to the all purpose drug store that also sell things other than drugs?

Well I had to buy a condolence card for my co worker whose bird was murdered while being babysat by the "office manager". It turns out that the "office manager"'s mother accidentally SAT on the bird, affectionately named after a type of raw japanese food.

Ironic that the bird that was being birdsat (babysat) was killed by being SAT upon....

This shit is hard to make up...
