Letter never sent to Moderator of Life in Mount Vernon Square Blog
Dear BIGBROTHER,
It's good to see that you are keeping up with the FULL NAMES ONLY crusade on the Life in Mount Vernon Square BLOG.
There are a couple of more posts that have been added that I wanted to bring to your attention, that do not use FULL NAMES. Most recently someone using the name Cary (not a FULL NAME) posted regarding Roby Chavez. (ed. note has since been removed?)
Finally, I wanted to make sure that the money I gave to the MVSNA for membership dues is not funding a hypocritcal BIG BROTHER scheme. Even though the Life in Mount Vernon Square BLOG is a prominent feature of the Mount Vernon Square Neighborhood Association website, I just want to make sure I don't financially support a group that condones censorship or the use of double standards.

The Unamerican Race Rioter, LEROY THORPE, JR
Leroy Thorpe wants to incite a race riot if he is not elected ANC commish...........
Sadly at last night's ANC 2c meeting he also did not allow for the proceddings to be recorded or videoed. I say, maybe he should let someone else do the job, according to the linked audit ANC 2C has not done a very good job of keeping track of meeting minutes and money spent. This is of course according to the Office of the District of Columbia Auditor. Details.
Don't vote for Leroy Thorpe, he's better at cronyism, shouting down those who disagree, and being a BIGOT, than helping to further democracy in our own front yard.

I have enrolled in school after ten years out.Majoring in business.
Unfortunately, not that many credits transfered, so I am taking mostly freshman courses right now.
I will be applying to grad school soon since I am at the head of the two classes I am currently taking. Though I have never taken a business course, it is all coming easy to me.
Its ridiculous how disinterested students are in the classes they are required to take. They are more interested in what is going to be on tests and not learning substance.

Open Coffee Shop Sham Marriages
Popped into the local coffee shop today and noticed that an acquintances husband was chatting with a female friend. Nothing to freak about. But then there was that intimate moment when lovers brush their hands across one anothers hand and a sparkle can be seen in the eyes. Never have I witnessed this in a platonic relationship. Was I spying? Maybe, but this was a very public display in a near empty coffee shop at 10:00 o'clock in the AM.
SO my question, is my acquiantance's marriage open or on the rocks, and furthermore when does an open marriage turn into a sham marriage? If it is a sham and she doesn't know, I feel for my acquiantance. But if it is a truly open marriage, then why can't I get play from her!!! HA!!!!

Mighty Attends a Rally
Little did you know, but Mighty is all for fighting for the little person, the downtrodden, the spit upon, those who's rights are dangled above them like a giant catnip filled cat toy...

Saturday January 28th or as i like to call it DEERHOOF Saturday
Holy moly.
So Thursday or Wednesday or someday, Debbie emailed me to let me know that she signed her kid (Jack) up to attend the filming of a Pancake Moutain session, and she wanted me to join them as Uncle Mighty! The best part is that DEERHOOF was to be the rock group featured. I had planned on seeing them Saturday evening at the Black Cat, but could not pass the opportunity to dance like a wacky guy for a kiddy dance tv show!!
SO I threw on my silver dancing shoes, donned my green jacket and wrapped myself in an orange scarf and ran down to the Warehouse Next Door....... Not only was I greeted by millions of little children and their yuppy rents, but a mulitude DC hipsters fucks as well. The two Ians were representing. You know the types, they go to shows just to be seen and not hear the music.Ms. Garnet you know who you are!!!...But need I digress?????
So Deerhoof played the rock, I danced amongst scores of preteen kids and all was happy. BESTEST of all they played my favorite song, not once but threee times on Saturday, Gore In Rut or as all the kids called it the Bunny Song. Twice it was played during the filming then once as part of their encore at the Adult only performance at the Black Cat. Awesome awesome awesome.
My oh my Deerhoof Saturday was great.
